• A New Pre-Kindergarten Program for 2010-11*
For children 4-5 years old. Developing Jewish identity and kindergarten readiness skills for 4-5 year olds. For single parent families, inter-faith parents, same-sex parents… for all parents raising Jewish children. This NEW Pre-K program will serve as an introduction to Jewish songs, stories, traditions, and progressive Jewish values. The Kadima Pre-Kindergarten meets Sundays, twice monthly, 10:00 a.m.-11:30 a.m. at Kadima House. Click for more information: Pre-K Flyer

Lecture Series Leading Up to, and in Support of, the Women’s Torah siyyum celebration in October
Four amazing women will share their insights and expertise.

All are welcome to attend the lectures in this series. Your suggested $10 – $25 tax-deductible donation will help fund our siyyum (completion) and celebration of the Women’s Torah project in mid-October.

·Women in the Rabbinate: 1890 (yes, really!) to the present day, with Rabbi Sarah Newmark, Sept. 26, 4:30 p.m., location TBD

·Women’s involvement with Torah in the present throughout the world, with Rabbi Yohanna Kinberg, a October 13, 7:30 p.m., at Hillel UW

Celebrate Kadima’s Torah, October 13-17, 2010

The siyyum (completion) celebration of the Women’s Torah dates are set for October 13-16. The first reading from the Women’s Torah will be Saturday, October. 16. Wednesday and Thursday, the 62 panels will be sewn together into a Torah. Friday, you can help fill in the final letters of this historic work. Meet the project’s scribes and artists, hear them talk about their work apart and together, learn from each other, celebrate. Most events at University of Washington Hillel. Be there!
