These services will be fully in person. There will not be a hybrid component to them. Instead, I will also be hosting one fully Zoom service per month. September’s Zoom service will take place on Friday, September 19th, at 6pm.
Services in person will be mask required according to Kadima policy. Thank you for keeping each other safe. Please reach out to me at [email protected] with access needs for our service in person or online. Reach out to [email protected] for location information.
Both services will use the Reconstructionist Kol HaNeshamah prayer book and we will join together to welcome Shabbat with intention and song.
Please note that Shabbat morning services will be continuing monthly on the 2nd Saturday of every month with Rabbi David.
In these trying times using our imagination is imperative. When hope feels hard to access I find that imagination can help me to access it. Shabbat offers us a time for radical imagination. It is over the 25 hours of Shabbat that we are supposed to get a taste of olam haba, the world to come, the world that we know and believe is possible. It is important, perhaps now more than ever, that we activate our imaginations and tap into the hope and belief that all of the things we are fighting for are indeed possible. The genocide will end. Palestine will be free. Repair will be made. One day all people will live in olam haba, a world of justice, peace, and liberation.
Towards liberation,
Rabbi May
