🌊 💖 Heart & Chutzpah 5785 - Season of Giving! 💖 🌊
We are trying something new this year! Our annual Heart & Chutzpah fundraising event will be a Season of Giving, with a series of smaller events and other fundraising opportunities, rather than a one time gala event! This change has been made thanks to your feedback, and we are thrilled to reach out to you today to share a bit more about this new season for us!
Kadima is imperative. Nothing has been more clear over this past year, as we’ve welcomed new staff members and begun working together with you – our beloved community – towards understanding Kadima’s next moves and growth; this central message has remained clear. It is imperative to have a progressive Jewish community rooted in Seattle, on the West Coast, and for Judaism at large. Our website says that we are “Seattle’s premiere progressive Jewish community.” It is upon us all to make sure those words hold true. We ask you to support us as we take the steps to fulfill this promise.
Together we must re-commit to this community. We must commit to moving together, like water flowing from rivers into seas, towards an ever more progressive Jewish community, a safe haven for the most marginalized among us. Let us be, and build, the community our ancestors never could have dreamed of and the generations to come will be proud of.
Raising $50,000 is a necessity. This amount, along with the funds brought in annually through memberships and Nadiv Lev (membership dues), helps us maintain our current operating costs, and pay our staff a living wage. Can we raise above and beyond this, ideally closer to $100,000, to help Kadima build towards the future we envision?!

Thank you for supporting us!
Kadima would not exist without each and every one of you and your support!

Reflective Plant Walk
June 14th | 9:30am - 12pm | Discovery Park Join Kadima member Victoria in a Reflective Plant walk with other Kadimaniks at Discovery Park! The goal of this walk is to connect with the flora of this Coast Salish land and to connect with fellow Kadima community. The walk will be an interactive experience, stopping at several plants along the way, discussing their symbolism as seen in some Coast Salish traditions referenced from the book Plant Teachings for Social-Emotional skills. We will be reflecting on their symbolism and how we might relate to their lessons as Jewish people with a complex relationship to land, living in diaspora, and grappling with Jewish ties to occupied Palestine. |
