Adar is the most joyous month on the Hebrew calendar...... and it might have something to do with the delicious treats you are all about to give each other, right?! This Purim, stay emotionally close but physically distanced through the Jewish art of making sure your community EATS SOMETHING!
If you are able to drop off treats at the houses of others, please do so (sign up here)! For our members whose circumstances prohibit them from traveling but who still want to participate, please indicate in the form if you'd like to participate by having treats ready for people to pick up / would like people to drop things off for you! |
The treat exchange will occur on Saturday, February 27th, between 4pm and 6pm.Please expect to be graced by masked Kadimaniks in festive garb, including spirited young people all dressed up for Purim. In addition to home-made edible treats, consider making mystery bags* for your geogroup-mates, including grab bags of riddles, mask-making materials, or even things that you were maybe going to give to Goodwill that might have a better home elsewhere.
*by mystery, we mean something that you think will increase the joy of your neighbors! |
For treat-making...
... please consider the allergies listed by your geogroup-mates. You will receive this information on Monday, February 22nd (but only if you opt-in!). If you are making home-made treats, please take extra COVID care by washing your hands, wear an N-95 mask or double mask with surgical/cloth in preparation, and quarantine all treats in plastic bags for at least 48 hours.
