Heart & Chutzpah 5783 - Happy Passover
Awaiting liberation can be an arduous task. Sometimes, all we can do is wait. There are certain preparations when we know it is coming, though. For most of the Israelites, they had very little warning about the first Passover, for us, we know Passover comes every year, and yet sometimes it still sneaks up on us.
Whether or not Passover is sneaking up on you today, let us not let Heart & Chutzpah sneak up on anyone. Let us buy our tickets today. Let us share Heart & Chutzpah with friends and family today, tomorrow, this week and next. Let us ask our favorite neighborhood businesses and organizations we are members of, work for and with, to sponsor the event - the more sponsors we get, the more we diversify our income, the less falls to Kadima community members alone. And let us ask for what we want – our bucket list items from the sellers we want to support – to fulfill our raffle and auction dreams such that things you want to buy anyway (or only dream of buying) become potential prizes accessible to us all. And yes, even with Passover about to begin, let us find the best bakers to donate the most decadent desserts. Let us ensure that while we find spiritual liberation tonight and throughout this week, we do the work it takes to also find financial and economic liberation in the season to come.
